Excel and I have a love/hate relationship. LOL

@Kathy -- I almost bought a CueCat but I heard that it sometimes doesn't work right and is hard to use. Have you had any trouble with it?Amy Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04009768142315390944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4272447557425149349.post-65843414287114462732011-11-22T09:38:40.214-08:002011-11-22T09:38:40.214-08:00I use LibraryThing for keeping track of what I own...I use LibraryThing for keeping track of what I own. I bought their CueCat scanner and entered over 3000 books into the system over about three weekends. Of course, I had lots of covers to scan to match the editions I had and some books to add that were pre-barcodes. But it did get the bulk of my collection done. I use the tags feature to indicate genre and series.

I still have some problems finding books I own because I am majorly out of shelf space and books stored in various boxes and crates along with the full shelves.

I'm pretty sure there are phone apps that would let me carry my LibraryThing database with me to bookstores but I don't have a smartphone and buy most of my books online from home. It is easy for me to check LibraryThing before I hit the BuyNow button.Kathy Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06168003964595205125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4272447557425149349.post-37873401733157022762011-11-22T08:31:07.813-08:002011-11-22T08:31:07.813-08:00You are so organized!
