Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

HUSH. HUSH
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
  • Reading level: Young Adult
  • Hardcover: 400 pages
  • Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing (October 13, 2009)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 1416989412
  • ISBN-13: 978-1416989417
SYNOPSIS:
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
MY TAKE:
OMG!!!!! I am probably the last person to read my ARC on this book for review, but it certainly won't be the last book I read from this author!

Goodbye Edward Cullen, hello Patch!! No, he is not a vampire, but darn it, those fallen angels have an appeal to them now I didn't know they could have! There isn't much to say about this book without giving much away. Yes it is young adult. Yes, it follows some themes like Twilight, but who cares!!! Not when it is beautifully written and has a great hero! It is my guess, that this will be THE book that will compete for the top spot that Twilight has held onto for so long. Sorry, I love Twilight with all my heart, but now it has to share a spot with Hush, Hush. Are you still reading this review?! Go order your copy from Amazon, Border's or Barnes and Noble! Run!!!

MY GRADE:

Outstanding Book! A
definite favorite!

This might be the most "glowing" review I've seen here. I might have to check this out. I hope you do the author a favor and post this on Amazon. The "fallen angel" thing might be the next big thing.

I think I am one of the last people around to not pick this book up yet. I am in a few contests to win this book and I am waiting to see what happens.

I also have a few other books in the stack ahead of this one. So I may be the last one around to get to it. But I have heard wonderful reviews on it, so I look forward to reading it.

Thanks!
