Feast of Fools (Morganville Vampires, Book 4) by Rachel Caine

Feast of Fools (Morganville Vampires, Book 4)
Author: Rachel Caine
Source: Library
  • Reading level: Young Adult
  • Mass Market Paperback: 256 pages
  • Publisher: Signet (June 3, 2008)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0451224639
  • ISBN-13: 978-0451224637
SYNOPSIS:

The wait is over. dig into the feast...

In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans live in relative peace. Student Claire Danvers has never been convinced, though—especially with the arrival of Mr. Bishop, an ancient, old-school vampire who cares nothing about harmony. What he wants from the town’s living and its dead is unthinkably sinister. It’s only at a formal ball, attended by vampires and their human dates, that Claire realizes the elaborately evil trap he’s set for Morganville.

MY THOUGHTS:

Ms. Caine has done it again! She created a story that picks up where the previous book ended and it yanks you in and won't let go!  This book was action packed and fast paced! I loved the plot and the writing was brilliant.  I know, you are all tired of hearing me say it, but I LOVE THIS SERIES!  This book however, should not be considered a stand alone book.  You might get lost easily if you haven't read the previous books in the series.  The author also leaves you with an awesome cliffhanger, AGAIN, that will leave you craving the next book in the series.

Quote from the book:

"What will you sacrifice, Claire?" she asked. "To win?"
"It's not a game," Claire said.
Amelie inclined her head. "True. It is war. And now we have to fight for all of our lives." -Claire and Amelie, "Feast of Fools
"

I will leave you with that as I bite my nails and start the next book!

MY RATING:

Outstanding Book That Will Stay On My Bookshelf
For Rereading!

I've not read this one yet. In fact, I've only read "Glass Houses" so far. But I like the series. :) Great review and I look forward to reading it.

These books are very cool. I'm not sure what kind of books suit your fancy, but I would suggest you take a look at Annie's Gift by Holden Herbert. This is a different sdlant on the vampire story dealing with psychic vamps. THe people in the book are a bit mmore like you and, meanning they are regular sorts with new found powers. The book is about a nurse and how she comes to grips with her powers. The book has lots of action, sexy characters and a great sense of humor. It is a fun read if nothing else. I got the book from Amazon which is what I'd recomend for you
