BBAW: Blogger Interview with AwesomeSauce Book Club!

Today on My Overstuffed Bookshelf, I am thrilled to have the chance to join in the BBAW 2011 Blogger Interviews!  The book blog that I was chosen to interview and feature is AwesomeSauce Book Club.  So let's get started with our fun interview and see what is going on at their blog!

1. Tell us a little about your blog and why you started it.

My blog is called AwesomeSauce Book Club. I started it Jan. 2011. I am a huge book nerd and I have a passion for talking about books.I started driving my friends crazy with forcing them to read books I wanted them to and yelling at them to ,so I started looking for other places to talk books. I came across this huge blog world and quickly signed up. I love it. I love talking books, even with author interviews I grill them about books they read, so I started Reader Behind the Author. So if you come by every post will be about books!

2. What book are you currently reading and how are you enjoying it?

I just finished Succubus Revealed by Richelle Mead. Its the last book in the series, and its really hard for me to let go. I have loved it for a long time. While I really enjoyed this book, I am kind of depressed by it.

3. What is your favorite book so far of 2011 and why?

Oh wow this is hard, I have read and reviewed 115 books this year. I found a few new series that I LOVED and was shocked it took me so long to read them. The Mortal Instrument series is definitely up there. Chicagoland Vampires is also amazing. I found some cool new indie authors too I love Evelyn Lafont, Stacey Kennedy and Eve Langlais. Yes I know I going way over 1 book, but this is hard for me.lol

4. If you could be the master of movie making, what book would you turn into the next big box office hit?

I think The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan trilogy could be a good one. Its something you can catch on film and still be good. A lot of books I just don't think would adapt to film well and it would lose too much. I am very judgmental on movies that are made by books and I am nervous for some of the new ones coming out.

5. What is the one thing you have learned about book review blogging that you would tell a new blogger to remember?

Be yourself. Never try to be something you aren't and always always be honest in your reviews. Even if you are good friends with an author on facebook but you really did not like the ARC they sent you, never sell out and give it a better review, so you don't hurt feelings. I also think do not over analyze your review, just put your thoughts into it, don't try and throw in catchy phrases or anything. Just be yourself.

Now for some fun things! Quick before the clock runs out!

1. What came first? The chicken or the egg?

Chicken. Some weird birds had a mutated baby and BAM you have a chicken who has more chickens.lol.

2. If smurfs are normally blue, what color are they when they hold their breath for too long?

Purple

3. How many books do you think you own?

About 200 not including my kindle books

4. Favorite book heroine?

Elena from The Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong

5. Favorite book Hero?

Bones from Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost

6. Favorite author?

haha, no way can I answer this. There are so so many!  It was hard enough picking heroine and hero, my brain might explode.

7. Favorite genre to read?

Paranormal Romance

8. Favorite Supernatural being?

Wolf

9. Favorite Series of books?

Dark Swan, Morganville Vampires, The Otherworld, Mortal Instruments, Georgina Kincaid, Chicagoland Vampires, Night Huntress, The Iron Fae. I am leaving out so many but these all popped in my head first before I stopped for a pause.

10. Favorite movie based on a book?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I loved it. I was at the midnight showing in my Gryffindor PJ pants and my Platform 9 and 3/4 shirt.lol. I thought they did an awesome job. Of coarse there were some things I wanted it there, but for the most part it was awesome.

Thank you to AwesomeSauce Book Club for joining in the fun and stopping by my blog for BBAW 2011!!
Go check out their blog and be sure to say hi!

First I love the name of your blog! I'm a fan of the Women of The Otherworld series too. I'm going to look up the Chicagoland Vampires.
